From our CEO
CSAA remains committed to action
outside our walls, supporting a wide
array of initiatives that leverage the
combined strength of many private
and public organizations to achieve
aspirational environmental goals.
Complementing CSAA’s direct
action every year, we also seek and
evaluate investments in emerging
opportunities, including forest
restoration and wildfire mitigation.
We are incorporating sustainability
and inclusion standards as part of
our supplier contracts and asking
suppliers to provide sustainability and
Tier II (our suppliers' suppliers and
subcontractors) inclusive spend.
In 2024, we worked hard to build
awareness of our Supplier Inclusion
and Sustainability program.
Through this program we offer
diverse, local suppliers an opportunity
to compete for our business with
larger competitors.

In addition to rolling out our new
Supplier Code of Conduct, which
includes CSAA’s expectations
regarding inclusion and sustainability,
we issued an annual survey to our top
100 suppliers. This survey provides
us with a better understanding of
supplier business practices.
We also established that CSAA will
measure and report supply-chain
emissions from 80% of our suppliers,
with the goal of capturing data for
Scope 1 & 2 emissions, and evaluating
the inclusion of Scope 3 emissions
into our GHG calculations. These
efforts will assist us in setting a
supply chain emissions reduction
target by 2030.
